Quote of the week

“Today, consider these four “S’s:” Set high standards. Search for possibilities. Sharpen your skills. Seize that opportunity.”

Catherine Galasso-Vigorito

Take one each day
and be inspired all week.

“If anyone could tell you the shortest, surest way to all happiness and perfection, he must tell you to make it a rule to yourself to thank and praise God for everything that happens to you. For it is certain that whatever seeming commodity happens to you, if you thank and praise God for it, you turn it into a blessing”

 – 18th Century Minister, William Law
    1. You only live once, so use your hours wisely. Each day ask yourself, “What good things am I going to do today?” And as you spread joyfulness, helpfulness and goodness wherever you go, watch for the miracles!

    2. Love is patient and is kind. It keeps the unpleasant things quiet. Whatever problem you may encounter, know that approaching it in the spirit of love will help you solve it. Love conquers all… It always trusts, always hopes and always perseveres.

    3. A grateful heart always gives happiness. When you focus on all your blessings, you’ll have little time to bemoan what you may not have. Thankfulness is guaranteed to chase away the blues!

    4. Focus on doing the right thing, even if you’re tempted to take the “easy way out.” Keep your eye on a life of spiritual excellence. When you focus on the highest, good things will happen to you.

    5. Problems are normal and a part of life. So forgive yourself for past mistakes, forgive others for hurting you; never quit, persevere and press on.

    6. Most people who achieve the extraordinary get off to a slow and difficult start. But they are victorious because they hold on to hope and refuse to yield to discouragement. Take one step at a time, and before you know it, you’ll have reached your goal.

    7. Today is the first day of the rest of your life--a time of glorious new beginnings has arrived. Give thanks for your blessings and bring love and forgiveness to all who deserve it—everyone and everything created by God.

Smiling, I questioned, “What do you mean?”

And with cheerfulness in her voice, she continued, “When a puppy grabs hold of a shoe he never lets it go. The puppy holds onto it so tight, that you can pick up the shoe, and the puppy comes up off the floor with it, because the puppy just keeps holding on!” …
